this is more or less what I had guessed, that it was a collective decision by the players to cease playing for possession or a second goal, and Tuchel failed to change this and then steered into the skid with his subs (this is not, to be clear, exonerating for Tuchel)

Thing about yesterday's game is that it feels annoying to just relitigate the Tuchel tactical shift over and over again (is it even litigation if there's no defence?) but it really did just transform the game to the point it feels impossible to know what happens without it
