There are ENTIRE STATES where trans people just straight up cannot use a public restroom under threat of arrest, bodily harm or worse. When I moved to NJ I had pull behind an abandoned Arby's and piss in a Gatorade bottle because that was safer than trying to use a gas station in some states.

Even if it WAS speech, having the right to say those things doesn’t give you the right to make anyone listen against their will. Again, the minute someone is forced to listen nonconsensually, it doesn’t count as protected speech.

One thing I haven’t seen folks saying about the conversion therapy bullshit ruling is that…therapy isn’t “speech” in the sense of “protected speech.” It’s a service that a client engages. And it’s a fraudulent service. It harms the patient and it doesn’t work. Fraudulent services are not “speech”
