These are a few examples of the so-called Town Mosaic found at the Palace of Knossos. They are faience plaques which were likely mounted originally to furniture. John Piper exhibition at Wlitshire museum is brief but rather nice including stone henge Stourhead Lacick and Avebury pieces. Particularly love the use of collage both in research on site sketches and finished pieces. Had a good look at texture and guess on order of media application for ideas.
