Now that's a surprise. The new Disney CCO, Dana Walden, had killed the live-action remakes that were in the pipeline. It was done to shift the focus on original works and "quality over quantity".

Not me remembering that scene in Big Short where Melissa Leo working at S&P says ratings are fake and made up and take direction from the big banks. Funny since those banks are run by the same people who hate Mamdani. Also. Politico. Lol

I'm struggling to explain to non-fans how 'they found two missing episodes' feels. I think it might genuinely be a whole human emotion only accessible to Dr Who fans, like we're deep sea fish who can smell magnets.

Giant Freakin Robot is shite. They are worthless. Donât share their links (which is at this point blockworthy as far as Iâm concerned.) Also this shows that theyâre just desperate. Theyâre wallowing in their increasing irrelevance and think this is how they get clicks. Fuck âem.

Comicsgate was a wild time because you had retailers literally doing anti-marketing for the books AND their shops. Not "I hate that we don't have a good Tony Stark book," but "They're ruining all these books with inferior BLACK characters." What black reader is ever going to set foot in your store?

Devastating reporting. Like RFK Jr., Kristi Noem, and Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth is reshaping his department to indiscriminately kill tons and tons of children. A major throughline of the Trump administration.

Just in case people know, Kobe Bryant's defense lawyers are responsible for inventing the "this rape victim only accused him so she could become famous" defense, which has continued to plague our society in the decades since. Plus, you know, he raped somebody. Fuck Kobe.

One, the Direct Market isn't the only place to get Marvel and DC characters. Two, the Direct Market isn't even the only place to get comics. We have black kids dropping money on Marvel Rivals and buying manga on their phones. The problem isn't with the audience. It's with the supplier.

It was a US strike that killed 165 schoolgirls. Mostly aged 7-12. While it was likely unintentional, the decision to strike a military target in a densely populated civilian area was not. Yes, difficult decisions have to be made in war. I donât trust this bloodthirsty regime to make good ones.

Other than a few lingering commedia del'arte troupes, pro wrestling is the only improvisational dramatic performance form in all of art. It requires ridiculous levels of skill. You don't have to like it, but to not *respect* it is like saying "I can't take ballet seriously."

LRP: Man imagine if Rod Serling didn't smoke 3-4 packs a day. We could've had him for another ~30 years or so. Imagine having a voice as important as his, that was so dedicated to calling out racism and injustice, around during the Reagan years, or even the War on Terror years.

I remember learning about the Hays Code in film school and how it made it so that any amoral protagonist had to meet karmic justice by the end of the film and going âwow, thatâs really sillyâ and then once a week I log online and see people argue that we need stuff like that now or itâs problematic
