I want our next Dem president to bring back the WPA and just build infrastructure all across this country again. Build green energy, trains, housing, etc. We can have nice things (and nice bathrooms), but we have to invest in ourselves!

in 2022 lyndale was subject of pilot program for 4 to 3 conversion which they call a success with positive feedback from the community. it reduced speeds on the street which improved safety for all. crashes dropped by over half, 57% reduction. “very impressive.”

I think
@govandybeshear.bsky.social
should just appoint a Dem to fill McConnell’s seat. It would force proof of life, and the state law that stripped him of that power should be challenged in court. I’m sure Thune would refuse to seat the appointee, but I think it’s a fight worth having. BE BOLD!

A city that has leading ped intervals and 2 way bikeways should NOT allow right turn on red for drivers. RTOR decreases the safety benefits of the ped interval and 2 way bikeways bc IME drivers *cannot* be trusted to look for bikes & peds when they’re checking for car traffic to turn.

Transit stations should drop you/pick up directly outside major destinations like this. It's insanely stupid to make transit users march across a sea of asphalt or wait out in one. Especially strip malls with a grocery store.

There’s a scene in the dystopian sci-fi movie Minority Report where Tom Cruise’s character is riding in an autonomous vehicle that gets remotely commandeered by the police to bring him into custody. The audience is supposed to see this as flagrant disregard for privacy and due process.
