I did it, I went to the Jack Kirby exhibit at the Skirball Center in LA today and it was incredible. I took photos of everything. My senses got overloaded such that at one point I just had to sit down for a minute. Totally worth the trip.

I think a lot of the blame is on the BBC here, given the considerable delay before it aired. They edited out support for Palestine, and failed their duty of care. That raises serious questions. There was also no introduction to TV viewers for Davidson, so crucial clarification was missed.

The BBC and BAFTA both have to shoulder the blame for the way this story blew up. It's something that should have never left the room, and been mitigated as quickly as possible.

Multiple things can be true: a) that word is one of the most heinous in the English language b) it should have never been broadcast, causing considerable embarrassment to all parties c) Tourette's syndrome is still subject to ableism and misunderstanding, as seen by the response and reporting.

It's genuinely a shame what has happened with the BAFTAs last night. It's a very unfortunate incident, and the result of several failures, from not editing it from the telecast (the most critical error of all), to not acting fast enough in the aftermath, and they let down those involved.

I just think its a little unfair when a creator is getting harassed and bullied by thousands of people, if they show that they're upset in any capacity, they get criticized for being "unprofessional"
