Robot Dreams is such a great film.

I still think about how incredible The Wild Robot was. It's easily one of the most gorgeous and invigorating animated films I've seen this decade and an incredible emotional experience. I cannot wait for the sequel.

I cannot imagine what kind of damage Netflix would do if it had acquired Warner Bros. The idea just horrifies me alongside any other studio merging with them, cause God I am so sick of these mergers with film studios.

My parents just came back from a trip to Japan and gave me a really wonderful gift. I now have some Studio Ghibli art in my animation collection and it it such a surreal yet incredible piece.

Robert Redford made such an incredible impact in film acting in classics like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting, and All the President's Men, directing films like Ordinary People and Quiz Show, and founding Sundance. What a legacy. I'm very sad to hear of his passing.

Have some concept art from the climax of Sleeping Beauty painted by Eyvind Earle. His art really was so gorgeously captured in the final film with the way Woolie Reitherman directed the sequence where Maleficent turns into a dragon to face Phillip.

One thing I've decided to focus on less is how a movie will do at the box office because one thing I know is that just because a film doesn't do well initially in theaters doesn't mean it's always doomed to be forgotten. Films can always get second lives and find audiences.

It was amazing to see Toy Story on the big screen. Thirty years later, Pixar’s debut film is still an incredible piece of filmmaking with its animation which is argue has mostly held up, the humor, the heart, and the timeless characters. It really shows why Pixar is great.

Illumination and Nintendo have officially unveiled the new look and title for the sequel to the Mario Movie. The sequel will be called The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. There's a lot of possibilities for this sequel and as someone who liked the first film, I'm excited for this!

Cartoon Saloon has announced an art book commemorating their 25th anniversary showcasing art from all of their films as well as their shows and short films to be released in July 2026. Already, I know this is a must buy for me! So much amazing art in this book I need to see.

Warner Bros has announced that all of the Tom and Jerry shorts made by Hanna and Barbera will be officially be released remastered and uncut on Blu Ray on December 2nd! I am absolutely wanting to get this being a huge Tom and Jerry fan and wanting to see all the shorts in HD!

I refuse to give any attention to any animated film that is being made with generative AI. It doesn't deserve any of my time, any of my money, any of anything. The best thing to do is ignore it and not give it anything.

Here's a pencil test of Professor Ratigan from The Great Mouse Detective animated by Glen Keane. Keane's animation combined with Vincent Price's delightfully over the top performance really helped make Ratigan such a fun villain from Disney Animation.

I've been thinking a lot about Whisper of the Heart lately and this film really has just grown more special for me. It's easily one of Studio Ghibli's most serene films and its message and characters are something that I find myself loving more over time. Just a perfect film.

Disney and BBC Studios has offically announced the release date for the Bluey Movie. The film will be released in theaters on August 6, 2027! As someone who already adores the show, I'm eager to see this one the big screen! Cannot wait!

Every now and then, I get myself thinking back to the many projects Blue Sky Studios could've put out this decade had they been better treated by 20th Century Fox and Disney. I'm still glad Nimona got out, but it is still a tragedy what happened to them and they deserved better.

You have no idea how over I am with the animation cynicism I'm seeing online regarding films and whatnot. It's gone beyond frustrating for me as I think there's a difference between being skeptical of a new film to being fully dismissive of it. Seriously, just wait till it's out.

Walt Disney Animation Studios has officially announced their 2026 film. The film is called Hexed and is about a teenager and his mom who discover his weirdness is actually hidden magic that transports them to a world where magic can run free. Sounds pretty interesting.

I often still think about how Disney Animation was really close to making a third Fantasia after Fantasia 2000 before bailing on it. At the very they finished some of the segments and made the individual shorts, but still. One can only dream they'll make another one again.

It's been announced by ASIFA-Hollywood, the organization that hosts the Annies, that they have formed an advisory board to exchange ideas, review progress and help shape ASIFA-Hollywood’s strategic goals for animation. I'm curious to see what this entails.

KPop Demon Hunters is officially getting a sequel. The Hollywood Reporter has officially confirmed that Sony Pictures Animation and Netflix have agreed to make a sequel to their big animated smash hit. There's a lot of potential for a followup and I'm eager to see it!

It’s pretty awesome to see a movie that the original studio had no confidence in become a hit and prove that people really love good exciting new films coming out. Goes to show you that studio execs don’t know what’ll be big until it comes out.

It is still so insane to me that Netflix is probably gonna learn absolutely nothing from the release of KPop Demon Hunters in theaters and will most likely not release more of their films in theaters. I don't get why that company is as stubborn as they are. It's bewildering.

Getting to see KPop Demon Hunters on the big screen was such a treat. Watching the amazing animation from Sony Pictures Animation, hearing the fans sing and applaud the songs, feeling the fantastic emotions in the third act. This is why movies are made for the big screen.

If there's one thing that I really hope for with the theatrical release of KPop Demon Hunters, it's that it finally convinces more streamers to put their films in theaters and even home video. I'm not getting my hopes I'm due to their stubbornness, but films need theaters badly.

I finally got to see Ne Zha 2 at last and I can see why this became the highest grossing animated film of all time. It is an insane thrill ride filled with some amazing action, dazzling animation, and an epic scale. It’s a phenomenal sequel and I really loved it.

Warner Bros has announced that The Cat in the Hat has been pushed back. The film will now be released on November 6, 2026, instead of February. That is a massive delay and I didn't see it coming. Hopefully, it works out for the film.

Elio is such a great movie and I really hope it gets a second life now that it's on home video. If you haven't seen it yet, give it a watch! It's a really charming film from Pixar and such a heartfelt story.

I don't care if you don't like the film or show or not. Sending death threats to crew members of something you don't like is not okay and has never been okay.

If there's one goal I have for this decade, it's to catch every animated film that I saw on streaming first on the big screen. I at least got to see Wolfwalkers, the three Disney+ Pixar films, Del Toro's Pinocchio, and soon KPop Demon Hunters in theaters, I hope to see more.

It is still a shame that Larrikins died when DreamWorks was bought by Universal. This could've been such a cute and fun little film from them and I think an animated musical set in the Outback would've been cool. Goes to show why mergers flat out suck for projects.

The latest film from Sony Pictures Animation and Genndy Tartakovsky just released on Netflix this Wednesday and it has been polarizing critics and viewers since its release. Having seen it, I can see why. Anyway, here's my review of Fixed.

If there's something I love about being a film lover, it's that you can never see enough films and there's always the opportunity to discover something for the first time that's popular or not, or a classic widely loved you haven't seen. It's always fun.

Aardman has been awarded the Guinness World Record title today of having the most claymation feature films made by a single studio. If there's a studio that truly deserves a wonderful honor like a Guinness World Record, it's easily Aardman. Congrats to the entire staff!

It’s been announced that a new animated Addams Family film is development from Wednesday showrunners Alfred Gough & Miles Millar although it will be its separate thing from the show. I’m curious how that’ll be and I hope it’s better than the last animated Addams Family attempt.

Golden from KPop Demon Hunters has reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the first song from an animated film to reach the top since We Don’t Talk About Bruno from Encanto! That is truly an incredible achievement!

As strange as it is despite the chaos of the world, I’ve been feeling a lot less stressed than I usually have been. It’s an odd feeling, but being less cynical lately as well as not being anxious all the time has really helped me a lot. I really have been feeling happy.

It's been announced that KPop Demon Hunters will be getting a two day theatrical release sing-along event on August 23rd and 24th. It's amazing how enormous the film has gotten and I'm glad it's getting a theatrical release as it should. I'm eager to see it on the big screen!
