Here are some storyboards drawn for Kung Fu Panda 2 by the film's director herself, Jennifer Yuh Nelson. DreamWorks has made plenty of great sequels and this still remains one of their absolute best for me. Darker, richer, and more textured than its predecessor and I adore it.

Times are tough right now and the film and TV industry needs to stand together to fight the evils out there. From corrupt execs to the dangers of AI. It's a matter of making sure that great art prospers into the future because audiences want great art more than ever.

To any artist or creator who is still trying to make stuff with your own touch and hands, keep doing what you're doing. We need your voice more than ever and your creativity will thrive in this day and age. Keep creating and keep moving forward with making art you make yourself.

AI has not had and will never have a place in the animation industry. Create with your hands and your heart with passion, not with a soulless machine that steals and spits out.

When it comes to films that took my breath away this decade, Little Amélie or the Character of Rain is still one of the biggest ones that comes to mind. It's such a beautiful and gorgeous animated film about childhood and beauty in the world. If you haven't seen it, please do.

Fifteen years ago today, Kung Fu Panda 2 was released. The best film of the saga and one of the best sequels ever released, this sequel from DreamWorks really is an absolute high thanks to its darker story, amazing animated action and themes, and one of the best villains ever.

Here are some storyboards from The Secret of NIMH drawn by Don Bluth himself. I know he's gone on record and stated this is the film he's most proud of and I agree. It's still one of the finest animated films ever put to screen.

I might not agree with certain decisions artists make in their work, but I'm never gonna target or send angry things towards them. I'd rather just let them try to make the films and shows and projects they want to make rather than repeatedly harass them if I don't like it.

The look that Tyrus Wong gave Bambi is something that I always look back on in awe. It's crazy how many great animated films were able to pay tribute to the amazing look he gave the film almost eighty five years ago.

Twenty years ago today, Over the Hedge was released. This clever adaptation of an underrated comic strip from DreamWorks has some witty satire on suburbia alongside some fun animation and a fun cast of characters that has made it a small gem in their catalog.

I'm heartbroken to hear that Tom Kane has passed away today. He voiced so many iconic characters for animated shows like Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, numerous Star Wars cartoons, and more and really made a mark on the shows he worked on. I'll miss him.

Twenty-five years ago today, Shrek was released. One of the most famous films released from DreamWorks, this animated parody of fairy tale films is still a hilarious ride thanks to its witty story, great animation, and the memorable cast of characters.

Artists who work at Pixar have confirmed in a new interview with Olga that Mark Ruffalo has been cast as the main character Neo in their next original film Gatto. I was already excited for this, especially with the stylized animation, but Ruffalo being in it is more exciting!

It's genuinely gross to see Netflix supporting a studio that makes AI shorts rather than funding their own animated films and shows that they were doing at the start of the decade and having laid off many creative people. It's such a cynical move if you ask me.

Here's some concept art from Frozen by Mike Giaimo. It really does harken back to the silver age films from Disney Animation and it does remind me both of Mary Blair and Eyvind Earle combined.

I had a great uncle who had signs of Alzheimer's in the last years of his life and I can say from experience that Tangles looks like it's the kind of film that's going to strike a massive chord for me. This looks so haunting and beautiful and I really wanna see it.

Laika has officially released the first trailer of Wildwood and I'm in absolute awe of it. This is some of the craziest stop motion I've ever seen and I can see the years of hard work and ambition just in this animation alone. I can't wait to see it in full.

Seeing all this stuff with The Legend of Aang playing in public and getting bootlegs is just so depressing to watch. The whole leak situation is heartbreaking and it all could've been avoided had the film gone to theaters like planned. Paramount completely failed its own film.

One thing that I love about A Goofy Movie is that when it gets to the argument scene, you feel bad for both Max and Goofy since despite both of their mistakes, you can understand both of their goals at trying to connect. It's the kind of honest writing I love.

The legacy that Ted Turner had for film and animation cannot be understated. Without him, we wouldn't have had Cartoon Network or Turner Classic Movies which helped keep the legacy of Hanna-Barbera and the classic films in the MGM library alive. An important figure, no doubt.

The new 4K remaster of Alice in Wonderland just dropped and once again, it's stellar. The colors that were so overblown in the 2011 Blu-Ray have been corrected and Disney Animation's fine work from 1951 looks better than ever. I hope we see more 4K Disney Animation remasters.

Universal has listed several films from Illumination dating up to 2030 which includes a Nintendo collaboration sometime in 2028. I'm curious what they'll be, but I'm hoping most of them are originals cause they haven't made many since 2017 and they need more original films.

I'm still heartbroken for the crew that this guy leaked their movie and ruined their hard work. Even though the Paramount+ movie is still nonsense and it should be released in theaters, this film did not deserve to be leaked. Just an awful series of events for this film.
