got me thinking about the fun of using AI to make things. I've decided that generative AI is a lot like Guitar Hero. It takes some skill to use, but add in the backing soundtrack and suddenly you think you're a rockstar.

First of all, I'm laughing my old ass off at the idea that I was nervous about hitting the big 3-0. I'm now officially "damn you look good for your age" years old.

So pretty! And the flowers look nice too. Yesterday was the « FĂȘte des MĂšres » here in France. You see signs for the holiday in shop windows (especially jewelers and chocolatiers), but it's not a giant holiday. Like many European countries, the celebration here was inspired by US servicemen sending cards back home to their moms during WWI. The French holiday was actually created here in Lyon.

Itâs infuriating when a woman comes forward about a man raping her in his hotel room after drinking and the response is âWhy would she go to his room?â âWhy would she drink with him?â This is Mike Pence logic. Women should be allowed to hang out with men without expecting they will be raped.

Fun fact: here in France, the Easter Bunny doesn't bring eggs. Instead, we have the Easter bells ("les cloches de PĂąques). Wait, what? Traditionally, Catholic churches don't ring their bells between Maundy Thursday and Easter Sunday. It symbolizes the state of mourning over Jesus. Somehow, this turned into a story for children that the bells have all flown away to Rome, to be blessed by the Pope.
