Having finally finished my Star Trek watch project, it seems only fitting that I get back to my rewatch of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel that I put on pause a couple of months ago to finally get to the end of Voyager.

As of this week I have finally watched ALL of Star Trek, every episode of every iteration, live action and animated, tv and movie. Voyager was the last bit I hadn't finished, and it took me a while on and off to get to the end. It's been a long road, I guess you could say...

An entire community of people spewing bile all day every day.

After living through the US Bicentennial and the Texas Sesquicentennial, it's a testament to our dumb moment in history that I have yet to see this year referred to as the nation's Semiquincentennial, no doubt because the drooling moron in charge would never be able to pronounce it correctly.

I was a little kid during the Bicentennial, but was old enough to put red, white, and blue streamers on my bike and ride in my town's Fourth of July parade with a bunch of other kids from the neighborhood.

I truly love this page. More people should absolutely read the Doctor Who Magazine comics, if at all possible. (They make it kinda weirdly difficult sometimes.) Also, the idea that the TARDIS itself has become some kind of enduring symbol representing hope in the galaxy always rings my bell.

Last night I watched the 1996 Doctor Who movie for the first time since I saw it in original broadcast. It is EXTREMELY a mid-90s made for North American tv movie, but Paul McGann is charming throughout, and I liked the interior design of his Tardis. The rest of it also happened.

When I moved across country to Portland years ago I sold off most of my mass market paperbacks, including nearly all of my Star Trek, Star Wars, and Doctor Who tie-in novels. The ST and SW stuff are easy to replace these days relatively cheap, but the Doctor Who books are now worth a FORTUNE.

The wonderful actor Keith David is set to be honored June 4 with the 2,847th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in the Motion Pictures category. Guest speakers: L.A. Mayor Karen Bass, Lynn Whitfield, John Carpenter, and John C. McGinley.
