In my onion, the existence of trans men absolutely beats people's asses because they simply cannot conceive of a vulnerable man who experiences gendered violence as a primary feature of their manhood. Violence for being masculine is the primary exp of a trans mans relationship to gender

But ultimately I think most feminists don't know what to do with us. We're a kind of man that experienced misogyny but that didn't make us less misogynist, and we're men but we're also vulnerable to emasculation in very real ways that most other kinds of men aren't.

Asserting that trans men experience gendered violence while ALSO asserting that misandry is a political and reactionary fiction is, obviously, not a contradiction. The misandry label is a misdirect away from addressing trans men's needs and concerns.
