I used to work as a civil servant and as a govt contractor. people have no fucking clue just how bad a govt shutdown gets after 15 days. the longer it goes on, the worse it gets.

never mind the economic environment we’re currently living in, none of us, and I mean NONE OF US know someone’s personal situations. and for what it’s worth, I don’t know many people who aren’t living paycheck to paycheck. to question why govt employees ARE is insensitive and rude as fuck.
