Countless poets imagine on a daily basis what it would be like to make it big. They're convinced they need one win or acceptance for their path to be cleared to stardom. Making it big is a fantasy that ignores important things such as our readers. Even if we only find one, we've discovered success.

Just came back from a DIY writers' retreat with my writing gang. I wrote 13 poems, brought the total number of poems in my 2nd collection up to 45 (from 37ish), started two sonnet crowns with @doucette515.bsky.social , and received 2 acceptances. And brought home more books 😬🫣
