Look. At the VERY LEAST they should be asking us to conserve fuel and stop going on unnecessary trips. They should be making public transport free. They should be doing something about rationing diesel for food transport. DOOOOOO SOMETHING YOU FUCKING LOOOOOOOOOSERS

We know this guy probably better than any PM in recent memory. The first two years as opp leader the media never stopped shoving him down our throats. There’s been loads long form interviews and profiles showing who he is. We know who he is, we don’t like him. Amanda needs to make peace with that

Our energy market is so obfuscated from the day to day user (intentionally), I feel like people still don’t know that we pay for all electricity at any given time at the price the most expensive unit being used cost to generate, so even if coal makes up 1%, the 99% is priced at coal rates

I think people in nz should be madder that we generate so much renewable energy but don’t get to benefit from the fact that it’s cheaper because our energy market was designed by idiots obsessed with profit margins

I want to remind NZ that one reason we were the last to get the covid vaccines is that we are a small country with very low trading influence and power. If you think we're going to be anywhere near the front of the line for the 80% of fuel left in the world, think again.

Sounds like Winston has found his new well of grievance to tap before the election. The antivaxxers have run dry so he's coming in off the fringes to shake down the electricity gentailers.

As already warm cities become more and more vulnerable to extreme heat events, or just the “new normal” of hotter and hotter cities every day, here’s just one more reason why more street trees and other greenery are good for streets & cities. It’s just common sense, really. Cooler, cleaner, better.

Cancelling plans is okay. Putting yourself first is okay. Going for a long walk is okay. Abandoning society is okay. Moving into a cave with a family of raccoons is okay. Giving them tiny swords & shields is okay. Do what you need to do to cope.

The only reason it’s not falling like a stone is that we don’t look very hard for corruption in AoNZ, because we think it’s about briefcases of cash - when in fact it’s cushy jobs for mates and looking the other way and saying, ‘he’s ok, I went to school with his brother’
