One thing I've learned from the Internet is that a lie needs 0% proof to be believed, but the truth requires thousands of pages of proof and still won't be believed.

The government’s stance on Palestine echoes Arendt’s “banality of evil”: officials turning genocide into paperwork and an administrative task; treating a moral abyss as mere policy risk.

probably a greater deterrent to foreign investment is a government minister preemptively threatening to legislate over the top of judicial decisions rather than the emerging role of tikanga within those decisions

New Zealand failed to protect refugee European Jews at the Èvian conference in 1938 … New Zealand failed to stand up against apartheid in the 1970’s … New Zealand repeated the mistake today in New York by not recognising Palestine.

No party has a monopoly on kaupapa Māori politics
OPINION: I like Tākuta Ferris. But his comments surrounding the Tāmaki Makaurau by-election were at best crude and misguided, and at worst, racist and damaging to the tino rangatiratanga movement.

You can condemn murder and political violence without whitewashing Charlie Kirk's shameful history of hate, racism, white nationalism and promotion of dangerous conspiracies that radicalized Trump supporters to violence. You can do both.

media have played a significant role in the degradation of our political environment & democracy ask yourself this - why was it Ben Doyle having to resign last week & not Winston Peters. Because I can tell you for a fact, that Peters could *absolutely* be hounded out of a job if media wanted to

NZ journalists could easily hound Peters for this. Instead they harassed Doyle. And 2/3s of the coverage I've seen of Doyle resigning frames the resignation up as being another scandal for the Greens NZ media is a direct platform for abuse against diversity - the evidence is clear

Once again, for the anti-trans activists: Why are you so terrified of trans people being included in the Human Rights Act? Just come out and say it. You think we aren't human and therefore don't deserve Human Rights. Otherwise why are you objecting?
