I had four different grandpas at one point. They were a farmer, an RV salesman, another farmer, a salesman, at least one wife beater, one child abuser, three adulterers, and one klansman that I know of.

I agree with how absurd this was. But isn’t this a pattern? During the early Cold War people cheered the Cincy Red Legs. During WWI (the first war with modern marketing) anything with “German” in its name was renamed and people were jailed for criticizing US military uniforms.

No one who has used the phrase “hill I am willing to die on” is willing to actually die on a hill and 50% of the people who use this Rockwell painting don’t hold unpopular opinions and the other 50% don’t have the balls to stand up and disagree with their neighbors on important issues irl.

My feed is suddenly awash in photos of people flexing and bragging about their workout. Fine, but at least a third of them are photos taken in gym locker rooms. When did that become okay? It's against the rules of every gym I've belonged to, is illegal in some places, and is just downright skeevie.

Take a cue from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (also by Fleming) and start the new movie establishing the previous movie as a story a now elderly Bond is telling his grandkids. They ask some questions about him not dying and he responds with another story, cue new movie.
