JAMES GARFIELD: No Charles Guiteau, I can’t make you an ambassador, I need to carefully select serious people. ALSO JAMES GARFIELD: Hey, Lew Wallace, fancy being ambassador to the Ottomans so you can write a sequel to Ben-Hur?

I have the utmost respect for Senator Kaine and Senator Warner but we do not need “coaching” on redistricting coming from a cuck chair in the corner. How about you all stay focused on the fascist in the White House and let us handle redistricting in Virginia. 10-1

OTD in 1990 Soviet Union admitted that Soviet Union carried out Katyn massacre. These are Soviet documents with Stalin personally approving the murder of 22,000 Poles. We blame(d) it on the Nazis. We lie(d). Imagine us committing atrocities today & blaming it on Nazis...

My annual reminder that in the US (probably others, I just don't know) there is no requirement that your official signature be in cursive. It can be print, uncial, an X , or a pitcure of a bunny whatever you want as long as it is consistent.

I love the fact that there are/have been so many Marvel TV shows that THREE being renewed for a second season is an anomoly worthy of note. Keep in mind that historically only 30% of all television shows get a second season.

Fun fact: The Iranian Revolution that installed Khomeini was closer in time to the CIA backed overthrow of Mossadegh and the installation of the Shah than it is to now. If Iran has been an imminent threat to the US for 47 years, the US has been an imminent threat to Iran for at least 73 years.

I agree with how absurd this was. But isn’t this a pattern? During the early Cold War people cheered the Cincy Red Legs. During WWI (the first war with modern marketing) anything with “German” in its name was renamed and people were jailed for criticizing US military uniforms.
