Like as far as I can tell the only real use case for AI is creating distractions for managers so the employees can do real work and not waste their time making the placeholder texture that will not be in the final product look pretty so some exec doesn't complain about it

The way companies are using generative AI to create "placeholders" and "concept art" isn't actually an improvement in the process of those things - it's a symptom of the pathology where executives expect things the audience will never see to be polished for some stupid reason
