Calls forth, arouses, inspires, urges, prompts, suggests, elicits, provokes, makes you want to ask... Please, stop saying it begs the question!! It does not. I suppose when a term is so ubiquitously misused as this one is, its meaning changes over time. But I will never accept the misuse. NEVER!!
