I really do feel like we don’t talk about this enough. Literally civil. It’s the equivalent of heavily arming traffic cops and having them go around beating and killing people that parked somewhere they shouldn’t have 5 years ago and also doing it to the people around them for good measure.

Also, ICE shouldn't have firearms at all in this context! They are a civil/regulatory enforcement agency. When they are doing domestic immigration enforcement, they don't even enforce criminal law!

My take on what is clearly murder: a bunch of insufficiently-trained ICE agents dog-pile — and subdue — the victim with multiple guns drawn (why were the guns out?!). One of agents accidentally discharges his improperly-drawn gun, spooks the rest, and then they all unload in to the unarmed victim.

Seems like they’re pretty committed to doing this again and again and again.

Early DHS spin (via Fox News) is that the person shot repeatedly by Border Patrol officers in Minneapolis was armed -- note that open carrying firearms is legal with a permit and notably, they are not (yet at least) claiming that the person fired or even brandished a gun, just had one.
