so the Privacy Display featured at #galaxyunpacked apparently work by turning half of the screen pixels into "narrow pixels", which emit light in a narrow cone to achieve the privacy screen effect. To turn the feature on the phone simply turns off the normal pixels, leaving the narrow pixels on 🤔

Excited to take my amateur Bsky boosterism pro!

Time for my big year end blogpost about the Atmosphere. From the personal computing perspective, the cloud has been a disaster — but we shouldn't run away from it. We can solve a lot of problems by connecting our clouds, turning it into atmospheric computing.

The goal here is to make Heron an Atproto app, not a bluesky app. I hope to build first class support for other custom lexicons and data to the degree the creators of said lexicons let me. Atproto has a rich and vibrant ecosystem, and I enjoy wearing designer, PM and engineering hats.
