A little interesting thing that I never built for Mastodon servers, but could have with some difficulty, is an account registration flow that included billing. I have a feeling it'd be easier to develop for PDSes, maybe, though it might require an entryway server, or just using invite codes?

I guess if someone wants to put up a semi-sizeable bounty, I could tackle the code changes required in @atproto/pds to ship email based 2FA to everyone running self-hosted PDSes. It'll be probably a few hours work to fully get working, and do the email templates.

So, about the PDSes and doing 2FA, well, I worked out how to implement it in ActivityPDS, so maybe you'll be able to implement it in the @atproto/pds code base! cc @baileytownsend.dev
