I’m told recurring donations are super useful for budgeting purposes, so even tiny monthly donations help orgs plan their future income and expenditures. And food banks get great bulk deals, so your $5 can go a lot further!

Food is a human right regardless of who someone voted for and especially regardless of who their PARENTS voted for and a lot of y’all are scaring the shit out of me. I got a lot of the same when I said no one deserves measles, too, and the way this country thirsts for punishment is just very bad!

If you donate pantry items to the food bank, make sure they’re good, fresh, appealing items you’d be happy to eat! Otherwise, donating money is probably the most useful

Lawmakers could, by the end of today, pause the expiration of existing licenses for businesses that take EBT, move money from non-essential functions and maintain existing beneficiaries for the duration of the shutdown.
