The only vehicle that doesn't suck to lock up to the wave bike racks at this grocery store is a wagon.

The message of Jesus is in direct opposition to White Christian nationalism. I'm happy to see that Christian ministers are standing up, and getting the attention for their work for peace and justice.

In the market for a new pet? Well...Roman politician Lucius Crassus recommends an eel! He was said to have had a pet eel that he decorated w/ earrings (fin-rings?). He loved so much that when it died he arranged for a funeral, and wept bitter tears for his departed eel. 1/2 🗃️🧪

The first time the kid figured out how to pedal... 🚲 This was 8 years ago today. 🥺 Now he bikes to school daily when he can, and bikes to the library and friend's houses. So much freedom for kids when they can bike safely!

The world is stupid, but I just watched a squirrel break into a car in the parking lot below me, steal a package of crackers, and escape to a nearby tree. So at least somebody is winning.

Good afternoon from Grant Park in Chicago. Thousands are streaming into the park for this afternoon's No Kings rally, which is set to begin in earnest in about 20 mins. I saw smaller rallies taking place throughout the Loop on my way here, organized by multiple political groups. Big May Day vibes.

From cycling under the light of moon on a beautiful night, to looking around and adding up the obscene amount of money we spend on cars, this article echoes so much of my thoughts about riding a bike and how CONNECTING it is- to people, to nature, to life- and how cars sever that connection.

It increases emissions due to land use change, most cars and gas stations can't use it or pump it, and it makes smog worse. This is plainly not the solution to higher gas prices.

We made it onto our 7:15am train to St. Louis from Chicago. I got both kids bikes & most of the luggage on the Fr8. Mom/kids took a cab & I met them at the station. Sold out train so the conductor told us to put the bikes in the vestibule instead of taking up the luggage racks where bike storage is.

I was attacked by an angry driver on 35th st today. He hit the rear left side of my cargo bike despite a clear dashed lane to pass. I'm so tired of being harassed by drivers. I know most ppl aren't this way. But I was almost murdered - not a fucking exaggeration- after taking my kid to preschool.
