Shout out to winter Divvy riders who’ve been braving extreme cold across Chicago: 12/13 (low 4°F): 3,242 rides 12/14 (low -1°F): 2,333 rides On my ride in this morning, it was 10°F but felt like -5°F and people were still out riding. Protected bike lanes on Grand Ave made it possible and safe!

One of the most important bits from today's interview: “And my daughter loves biking, but I wish there were more bike lanes... Jackson goes East, and there's no bike lane going West here. So we'll just get on the wrong way in the mornings and go West on Jackson.” Build bike lanes for families!

“I worked in the suburbs, but have been working at Northwestern, for about 13 years. I figured biking is a nice way to get to work, so I started getting into Divvy - I was one of the first 500 people to get a Divvy membership. So I was riding Divvy quite a bit then. . .”

If you live in Chicago, you've definitely seen people zipping around on blue Divvy bikes, and we've worked with Chicago SAFE to give you a look behind the scenes at Chicago's huge bike share system. And we'll be working on a full-length video all about Divvy, coming out next month!
