Based on the amount of bike traffic I've watched the Cortland St. Bridge sidewalk bypass handle this last year, I project the 606 Extension will need to be 40ft wide. The people yearn for a low-stress North Side river & expressway crossing.

CTA rail operator count falls to 829, its lowest level in over a year. Flagger hiring has grown in the last couple months, but we're still staring down the consequences of the 6-month dry spell from last August to January. CTA hasn't added a new rail operator in 6 months.

Chicago's Smart Streets pilot has issued nearly $900K in fines this year. Well over double last year's pace. March was the busiest month yet, but the overwhelming majority of issuances continue to be just warnings.

When I moved last year the biggest downgrade was I no longer had a Divvy station right on my block. Lo and behold, a new station appeared soon after and I use it multiple times a week again. Thanks David!

Are there any studies on transit trip generation per sqft of downtown office vs residential? I wonder what transit usage trends look like for Loop residents who have excellent access and are mostly using it for non-commute trips.

I would like to know how the Autonomous vehicles handle this. Are Waymos going to be flying down narrow residential one-ways at 30mph since that’s the speed limit? Are they going to bottleneck interstate speeding by only going the limit?

CTA Rail operator headcount took a dive in February after holding steady at or above the 2019 benchmark for the last 6 months. Bus Ops had a down month too, but are still over 10% higher than 2019 figures.
