cta rail headcount is up again, much to the benefit of the Purple Line. Still a ways to go before we reach the 880 benchmark again.

Does anyone have success riding the supposed Green Wave on Wells st? I've been tracking my speed the last few weeks trying to hit sequential greens at 12 MPH but, but no luck. Is it a me problem? Does it need recalibrating? Whats the deal?

We should implement this state of the art navigation technology into O’Hare and Midway so visitors can easily find their way to the train.

Halfway through 2026, Chicago's Smart Streets pilot is on pace to roughly double 2025's fine total. New cameras have seen more consistent use in the last few months, and the majority of issued tickets continue to be 1st time warnings.

Looks to me like the Chicago/Halsted viaduct closure has been a huge hit to the Chicago🔵 stop, but Grand🔵 has seen a slight bump, if anything.

MSI opening their south entrance on one side and the Obama center campus opening on the other only makes the prolonged Jackson Park Darrow Bridge closure (since 2013!) look more ridiculous.

A benefit of the L having so much station redundancy downtown: it looks like all of State/Lake's ridership just got absorbed by the other Loop stations, primarily Washington/Wabash.

This afternoon, Alex's Schlitz Memorial Ride visited Pullman Tech Workshop - formerly a beer wagon stables in Roseland's "Schlitz Row". Nick and Tamika from PTW talked to the riders about the building and their org, and handed out water and beer (including their one remaining bottle of Schlitz!)

Very frustrating that the first welcome-to-NITA change to my rider experience is a massive weekend service cut to kick off summer. Long waits at platforms because it takes forever to load, unload, and turn customers away, and an obviously frazzled conductor apologizing every stop.

Last summer Armitage was doing 80-90% of peak weekday service on Saturdays. Since purple doesn't run downtown on weekends, it was already seeing more riders per car than weekdays! Its not 2019 anymore. Cutting brown line weekend service in half makes no sense.

CDOT lost the best of our team yesterday. We're heartbroken. In memory of Riley O'Neil, please refer to these bike racks as "Riley Racks". He led Chicago's bike parking program for several years. Our hearts are broken, but we want to make sure his legacy lives on 💙🚲 Please spread the word

TW: Death. Non graphic photo. A cyclist has died around 3200 S Halsted Avenue. We've lost track how many SW side death have happened this year. They happen so frequently. Unacceptable that CDOT acquiesces to drivers and alders. We chose tragedy over safety. Photo from
