One of the things that often keeps me up at night: there are people out there with enough money/capital to change the world. To objectively make the lives of millions of people better. And they just don't.

As someone who lobbied hard for 5 years and trained 1,000s of people on how to organize for increased funding for PEPFAR, USAID, and other global anti-poverty programs, I think about this a lot and I really, honestly, take it personally.

Had a hard conversation about a colleague and skirted around the obvious (to me) "Do you actually want to be here and do this? Or is it just what you're doing?" And unfortunately, I think it's an important question that you have to grapple with when you work in nonprofits.

I swapped my daily coffee for matcha a few weeks ago and wow. I not only feel the caffeine more, but just generally feel better. I understand there's a matcha shortage, but this is a significant difference for me personally. Highly recommend.
