The fact that the State Department is planning to open an Office of Remigration didn't get even anywhere close to the attention it deserved. Remigration is explicitly a European far-right/neo-Nazi word that in Europe refers quite explicitly to ethnic cleansing beyond simply immigration enforcement.

This is what Roberts wrought. Trump is immune from criminal liability, and can preemptively pardon anyone below him. Local DAs can't charge federal actors in state court, and SCOTUS has shrouded all of them with immunity from civil liability. They can target anyone they dislike with with impunity.

Abolishing ICE means abolishing deportation as a government function. Like abolishing the death penalty. That would mean no governmental agency or officer could deport anyone, ever. If that makes you uneasy, think about why you feel that way.
