Watching disabled people around the world mourn Alice is a reminder of the good aspect of the internet. 30 years ago, few people outside of SF would ever have known Alice existed. I never would have met her. The internet connected us all. Let’s honor Alice’s memory by using that power and community.

Easy tip for making your disabled friends feel more included and supported (or sick, caregivers, etc): if they say they aren’t feeling well enough to go to the potluck or other event you are attending with a surplus of food ask them if they would like you to bring them a plate of food.

Yesterday I was able to get to our regular, house call, vet’s vm (had been busy the night before) and waited for a call back that never came. Wish I had called the vet hospital then, so they could have gotten her in today. Was so exhausted I couldn’t call early enough to get her in today, so Monday.

I bought diapers and absorbent pads for the dog. Diaper fell off, the absorbent pad rocked, but some spilled off the edge and a small spot soaked all the way through the duvet cover and the duvet. It was one thing when they were both overdue for a wash, but I had JUST washed them. Poor doggo.
