Now the Norman warband set from Victrix is finished I thought I’d do a few photos of them. First up is the set on round bases consisting of a mix of spear & sword armed warriors supported by a few crossbows and warrior with a banner (banner from flags of war) Really happy with how these came out.

I've just finished my squad entry for "Geordie Daemon", a local painting comp happening next weekend. The first pic is for Blsky as I couldn't get the full squad in (click on 2nd pic to see). This is also the John Blanche tribute piece I wanted to do, and I'm really happy with how they turned out.

During Market Garden, American 82 Airborne advanced - too late - towards the Nijmegen Waal Bridge *through the city* (yellow route) encountering opposition. Unknown to many, is that via the red route several patrols managed to reach the bridge, unopposed. And, left the bridge, returned to base.

Pillage at the club, my Irish took on a generic list with a similar number of troops & a couple of cavalry as well. good game and nice to face cavalry for the first time, got a win! That makes 5 played, 5 won putting me at the top with 5 games to play in the club pillage league.
