@joewargamer.bsky.social only got as far as cutting up the blanket, will attack with trimmer next and highlight up with green brown. But realised the one I’ve got is far too olive as a base. Do you think it’s recoverable if I brush apple green or similar through? Or buy better base colour? Cheers

Question Sharp Practice and tomahawks. Not had this happen before. French hit rangers in flank. Tomahawks take shock to double figures. Do they break and run before the fisticuffs, or, take the medicine and if any left break after? #spreadthelard

No painting today, building 1:1 scale Gabions

Started on the hussars, most colours down but now onto the white base. This could take some time… Just these and then need to make and paint lancers… Then I’m done… for a while…

To get a spare box for the Russians as they’d gone to needing three boxes, I had to move lots around… Dark elves weren’t quite poured into a box (they need touching up anyway), to create room for FIW, who made way for Indian Mutiny and winter FIW that got these into the 3rd box

Russian Dragoons have been waiting a while for a flag. That’s done now and some officers for Sharp Practice (sadly ran out of arms with the officer epaulettes so don’t look closely)

Bases dry brushed and tufts on. Flock to go. Need a few highlights on some of the single based officers horse blankets that I missed

Managed to get the basing grit on last night so it was dry today. Green brown from Vallejo on as the base coat. Again will take some time to dry. A few details left to do and then will dry-brush these along with the other 14 bases

Some touch ups required as rushed the infantry to get them onto bases today. Still work to do on the commanders but close

Non hobby post. First bbq of the year with our neighbours (and good friends). Smashed out a couple of great salads (half gone in the photo). Rode a bike for the first time since the stroke boom

Decided to wait on finishing the bases and instead do 16 more infantry to finish the last battalion. Some command figures and some individual cavalry officers for Sharp practice as well. All base coated and ink washed!

Last one for the day stage 3 on the glow up of the old ecw test figure. Highlights on. I’ll probably only do one highlight and then give them a light drybrush when I do the bases. But I think that is a massive improvement for a 20+ year old figure that was rush painted the first time round

Flesh onto the Napoleonic Russians. Don’t zoom in as this is 15mm painting on 28s - nose, cheeks and chin only. But en masse 👌

Got side tracked from what I was intending to do. Couple of flannels arrived in the shopping to be chopped up for roof, squirrelled them away before anyone saw

Planning on sprucing up my ecw and rebasing on multi bases. First step getting off metal washers. Managed to soak off without damage, but then through the figure on the garage floor… stuck on a base for paintwork

Finally got all the white highlights done. That took far longer than expected. Blitzed through the green highlights in a fraction of the time. Just flesh, black and buttons to go

All the base corrections done, was hoping to get wash on but don’t think I’ll have time later. Haven’t done the mounted officers as too many different colours to the infantry, thought I’d get them done first

That’s all the white base coat done. It does look like it’s been applied by a monkey with a trowel though. But think that is my base coating style!
