I am obsessed with the output of games workshop between 1985 and about 1992. Although, if im honest, its just 1988-1991, and right now its specifically the White Dwarf magazines of 1991.

I think this might split into 4 episodes for thr first time ever. Its very dense, and also im not sure if anyone ever gets excited when they see one of the three episodes is 5 hours long. I was forced to do that with Spacemarine cos it didnt stop but this has way more potential pause points.

Project idea number 1 for the new year. A Cauldron warband that is just these three early citadel trolls, painted in the style of the Troll from the Billy Goats Gruff book i had when i was about three.

192 models painted this year. The most ive ever done, but lots of it done against the clock for turnipcon or Bring Out Your Lead or similar. The plan for next year is to paint less and to try and enjoy the creativity a bit more. Still pleased with my work though.

i watched this with my daughter today and it was sucg a compelling piece of emergent story telling from a kids game....That happens to be longer than most Hollywood films.

In all of Talking Miniatures, this is my favourite bit. I love that GW people were obsessed with Airfix from their youths in the way people are obsessed with warhammer, and that the people from Airfix would barely remember models like GW people barely remember things people are obsessed with today.

I have just read this and it was superb. Sex cults (complimentary), future museums, America, strange carnivorous beasts, Pan-like dream creatures, visions, and evil, evil mayors.

I got this for christmas, and was delighted. Some wonderful subtle world building in a post collapse America linked to the ideas of 19th century American utopian sects (like the one in Killed By Lightning) Would recommend to the Dark Future heads out there.

I made a few issues of very tiny White Dwarf magazine so my Imperial Guards have something to read. If you take care of your soldiers they fight better.

School's getting inspected so the release of next episode might be slightly delayed.

This magazine is great and very much deservrs backing.

GW has had some hit and miss board games in the past but this one has stood the test of time (laminate the car record sheets and use a dry wipe marker for damage though...). It's even better if you paint a few cars and build a 3D town to fight around. #nerdlings #tabletopgames #GW #boardgames
