Not an ideal day despite being off work. Teenage kid trauma day... Replacement tavern arrived. Much better size. Forward mast parts for ship arrived and now allow fitting in two positions. And won't require drilling and magnets. Extra cannon started... #wargaming #28mm

Bloody hell this 28mmalarkey takes time, but every Village starts with a house. Foamcore, coffee stires, filler and faux fur and some super advice by @joewargamer.bsky.social . Scratched my scratch built itch! (And my head too). For devilry afoot!

I picked up two dozen of Eureka's 28mm Ragged Continentals at the MOAB show in Sydney last October. Finally getting around to putting paint on them. Lovely figures, full of character.

Finally started on the first ship. Missing parts should arrived this week so I can't glue the hull together until I get the extra gun barrels. But at least I've started... #wargaming

Today was my local show, Border Reiver, in Gateshead. Seemed a little quiet. Fewer traders and a few empty (no show?) game tables. Nice to catch up with people though. Just grabbed some civilians from Reiver Castings and some goats, pigs, and chickens from @pendraken.bsky.social. #wargaming

Spent most of evening sorting the 3d printed ships I have. Definitely bits missing from one so been in touch with printer. Also got another building that is too small and needs a reprint...A bar. And some more figures for my engineers. And some rules... #wargaming

Today's hobby activity was starting to put together this 3D printed ketch. What I did discover was that a few bits are missing. Chasing that up. I think I can build and paint the hull while waiting for the missing parts. #wargaming

Finally finished this series. Really enjoyed them. More so as the series went on. It's a shame the 7th book is yet to be translated... Quite like the film too... #wargaming

The next Grant unit on the restoration table is avon Ratzmer Ulanen. The paintwork seems to have survived reasonably well, so just some judicious retouching required. Again, the late Charles Grant did some clever conversion work here from the original Spencer Smith WWI German Uhlans.
