I work as a meat cutter at a grocery store.This year I trained 2 people for the job, including a woman with no experience. Both ended up being great. I ran a 1/2 marathon this year. It wasn't my fastest time, but very pleased with how I ran. In both instances felt good to see the work pay off.

This year I became a licensed Physical Therapist. This was a long adventure with many self-inflicted mishaps since 2003 that led to me becoming a PTA in 2012 and finally returning to grad school in 2022.

Got my first ever voice role in a video game, as well as being cast for a fighting game currently still in development.

2025 was a year of lessons, for sure. I upped my smart home game by quite a lot getting into home assistant. I'm hoping by the end of 2026 to have Amazon smart shit out of my house, there's just still two things tied up to it.

We learned to install various types of flooring because it's too expensive to have someone else do it!

I got a coauthored book accepted for publication. 📘 I got my blood pressure under control. 💪 I volunteered another year with other leaders/mentors with a local church youth group. 🌪️ I spent lots of time with the strong network of good friendships in my community. 😊 /2

I gave myself a crash course on modern art history and have started learning how to paint and draw (pumped out 100+ pieces of acrylics!). 🎨 I learned more about what the world looks like from folks with ADHD and autism, as well as how I can hack my GAD/compulsive brain to better support them. 🧠 /1

I survived the year. And for a year in which I spent more time in emergency room CT scans than the rest of my entire life combined, I’ll take it.

Lost about 15 lbs, and cultivated a whole bunch of friends and community. My health is also way better and I'm fixing all my deficiencies slowly but surely, and starting to exercise more. Looking forward to 2026.

Didn't write a book, but I did get a short story published in an anthology. And I finished my first script, and made headway on another. Also got into making soup from scratch. Also joined the local renewable energy co-op.

I am once again here saying that your HSA/FSA money should be allowed to go towards hobbies.

I took a big skills jump ahead with painting. I fulfilled my vow to swim a mile at least 4x/week and managed to stick to that.

I spent a wonderful sabbatical with the people of Oklahoma I started my second book We started the first year of the Concentration in Anglican Studies at PTS I made my first vows in religious life I made new friends on here

I got a Substack up and running and wrote a lectionary series regularly from January to May I taught three (3) multi-week church classes I learned what I wanted from the church (probably something I'll never have) I got hired to teach two adjunct classes starting this January

Things I did in 2025 that make me happy. Read 12 good books - all Pulitzer Prize winners in fiction. More than doubled annual #running mileage from ‘24 - total 545 miles in ‘25. Slept better. Ate better foods.

My book got accepted for publication! title is still up in the air but “Insert Title: Eucharist as the Gift of Political Language” is coming from Cambridge U Press in 2026/27
