I think a very significant part of the headless chickening on what is the world’s most straightforward question (“CSAM factory- is it allowed?”) has been the crippling cognitive dissonance of journalists justifying their continued use of X to themselves. They needed it to be a Q for debate.

From 6 months ago. These uniformed thugs graduated from beatings and shootings to randomly burning buildings in response to armed resistance. Innocents were punished because the thugs couldn’t find their real targets. The term ’Black and Tan’ still causes the grinding of teeth in Ireland today.

I'll add that mockery only really works (but then works *exquisitely* well) when a small deep gnawing part of the person being mocked knows - or at least suspects - that it's true and they deserve it. You can't effectively mock someone who's truly confident in who they are and what they're doing.

Respectfully, I think this assessment is incorrect. CSAM’s definition in the 1998 Act is intent of the image, not merely its content Images taking dressed images of children and turning them into bikini-wearing children has an intent, focused on sexualisation.
