Stripey crocus! It looks quite a lot like a saffron crocus (Crocus sativa) but it is growing in a bit of a shady spot, and saffron crocus likes sunshine. The stigmas look bushier than I’d expect of saffron, too. I might go back tomorrow, and take some more photos. #bloomScrolling

The upside of living in a well-built modern house is that it is very economical to heat, and easy to keep warm.
