A followup - what misdiagnoses have you had over the years that had a drastic effect on your life? What states have docs/therapists/caregivers/medical systems (even parents & guardians) *completely* misdiagnosed that you could finally show were wrong some time later, whether weeks or decades?

Some mornings adhd meds just do not kick in. Not often, and I *have* had some gastroparesis guff going on lately (thanks, doc who refused to diagnose the obvious). 43 minutes into the workday and still spinning wheels.
