to anyone who has a severe food allergy: as somebody who would go into anaphylaxis at even trace amounts of peanuts, OIT is LIFE-CHANGING. I’d recommend looking into it (or the similar treatment SLIT) if you’re curious. It’s not just for peanuts either; tree nuts, egg, and dairy are a few others

Good callout for those who don't know: if you have a peanut allergy, it MIGHT be possible to desensitize to it under close medical supervision. Megs has had a severe peanut allergy since before age 2 but underwent the process a few years ago and is now dealing well with it.
