There have been zero birbs or squirrels at the feeder today and I am starting to think that THEY were raptured.

This afternoon the property management company for our work building sent out a email blast saying that while their offices would be closed next monday for the federal holiday, the building HVAC etc would be on a usual monday schedule. Um, there's a federal holiday on Monday?

Maybe I am not reading fully but the language from Disney is after talks with Jimmy, that the SHOW is returning tomorrow. There is zero mention that Jimmy Kimmel as host is returning tomorrow. His colleagues have said he's most worried about the staff so maybe he will not host but show will go on.

The hummingbirds have been gone for a week+ so it was time to start feeding the regular birbs, the ones who live here year round and any that are migrating. Plus all the squirrels named Tim. This feeder (new because last yr's broke at the charging port) is exactly the same but uses a different app.

Had to get dog fud today at Costco and found 16oz of Costco Vanilla Extract for 9.99 and 10 oz of Nielsen Massey Vanilla Bean paste for 20.99. Vanilla prices are $$$, so these are both a bargain. Even if the Costco vanilla extract isn't that strong, you can throw a few beans in to strengthen.

Friends, thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise just about $800 for A Little Extra celebrating what would have been Kent's 53rd birthday. Thank you. We decided we would celebrate by doing something he always loved-launching psychedelic inflatable season in my front yard.

In other happier news, our neighbor Walker came over. He lives about six houses away, not even a full block, and we see him once a year almost always between September and November, for the last 5 years. He has a regular name but we think it's stupid. So we call him the White Walker.

We submitted a police report because I've been hit by a kicked up/off the back of the truck stone before and it cracked my windshield-this is different. It is a $3000 repair (as far as we can tell) and it is not clear whether insurance counts it as a windshield (our ins doesn't cover windshields)

Ben took my car to get washed & at some point on the drive home the roof was hit by a projectile hard enough to shatter the glass (panoramic) moon roof, it isn't just a crack, there's a divot in the glass +spider web cracks radiating out. A rock or high velocity object NOT kicked up from roadway

I saw somewhere and I am sorry I didn't get the reference, but Hershey is raising the prices of most of its chocolate brands (which includes Reese's) by about 27% around the 17th of Sept. So buy any halloween chocolate now. Although the kids really like sour candy and tiny boxes of raisins.
