The thing about riding a bike is that it is the only *fun* way to get around Toronto. TTC is functional, and car/Uber is sometimes necessary. But only biking is actually enjoyable.

Fact of the day: We’re currently debating a new bike-share program in Victoria. City staff noted that “serious cycling accidents and fatalities are down 37% since 2017,” when we began building out our AAA bike lane network. We now have 45 km of protected lanes. Cycling infrastructure = safety.

Before (2019) / After (2025) the replacement of car parking spaces with trees in Rue du Square Delambre in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. The trees were planted during the winter of 2024–2025, so these days are the first time one can take a photo where the trees are starting to turn green.

Here are Debt/GDP ratios for three scenarios: 1--PBO baseline. 2--LPC platform (costed by themselves) 3--CPC platform (costed by LPC) I'll happily update with CPC platform numbers if CPC releases them. But until then it doesn't seem fair that they escape scrutiny. So, I'll go with what I have.

Seems a bit weird that one of the big two parties has shown its numbers and is being subject to rigourous scrutiny while the other of the big two parties is not subject to the same scrutiny. Scrutiny is good! Let's see if we can do something about that.....
