I can quibble with the fact that there are many, many, many sidewalks in Denver more in need of repair than the one outside my house... Still, they did use my Sidewalk Fees to fix a lip greater than the quarter-inch limit required by the ADA - and did so in short order (without me even asking).

Not only did this bus stop in Perth, Australia, show me that the bus would be coming in 3 minutes with a digital display -- but when I pushed that big, yellow button, it also told me so... And yes, the bus showed up 3 minutes later.

Setting speed limits with the 85th-percentile is ass backwards... For years, I've been teaching my students about a context-based approach using a grid of Movement vs. Place that is popular in other (much safer) countries. It is great to see it getting some love in the literature...
