I’ve been working on this one off and on for a couple weeks. I’m not sure I’m completely done with it, but thought I might include it for #ArtAdventCalendar before it’s over.

Today, as I always do, I dropped a bag of empty bottles behind my studio which is a block away from a bottle depot that is frequented by the far too many unhoused folks in this city. A young guy asked me if I was leaving them there and I said yes. help yourself. He said thank you so much.

Not sure what counts as art, but this is the closest thing I have to contribute to #ArtAdventCalendar. Two nightstands I built this summer to replace the awful Ikea ones we'd used for a decade.

Day 10 of #ArtAdventCalendar is a snowy day in Toronto. I love everything about snow except shovelling it. Its pretty, it's dramatic, it's cool & fresh, it's quiet and, if you're dressed for it, it's cozy. I paint the snow often and it's always different. Crisp, deep, blowing, sparkling, sloppy.

If you have any plans to watch the new Netflix series Ripple, I strongly suggest you invest in a case of tissues beforehand. Yeah, I’m talking ugly cry 😭 (BTW loved it, just really hit home on so many levels)
