☹️ So much wet snow falling earlier today and 2˚c. No problem when it’s spring and melts quickly. But... being December, the temp has now dropped to -7˚c (-15˚c with windchill) and EVERYWHERE is now a skating rink 😒

Came across this coyote and his magpie friends, as I walked my dogs around the pond this afternoon. Thankfully, it was headed in the opposite direction to hunt, but it turned to look at us as Merlin decided to give it a low, deep growl 😬

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 1. A watercolour & ink piece I did a few years ago: ‘Keeping an Eye on the Christmas Tree’.

The last couple minutes of the setting sun, casting an orangey glow to the upper branches of a tree, on this last day of November 2025.

Cold air, vibrant sunsets, and short days as we get closer to winter solstice. Sun currently setting at 4:19pm.

Merlin and Louie are loving the fresh snow today ❄️

Today was foggy and frosty all day, with the high only reaching -7˚c. It’s beautiful out there, but chilly.

Another beautiful day for walking (5°c) and a big, blue sky. Hard to believe it’s November 22nd already! We’ve had very little snow so far, and that keeps melting with the warmer weather we’ve had.

While it’s a little colder and a bit snowy outside these days, I’m enjoying my Christmas cactus blooming indoors 😊

The sunny, blue sky was a bit deceiving today as cold weather returned. Even this ring-billed gull seemed disappointed to see the ice back on the pond after our recent warmer November weather.

Warm (‘er’ 5˚c 😁) weather is back today, so a fair bit of our first snowfall, and pond ice is melting. No wind again today, so a beautiful walk.

We've had a fair amount of rain and grey cloudy days lately, so it was wonderful to enjoy a walk in the sun today 😊

Took these photos yesterday of a large group of sandhill cranes heading south to warmer places. I would not have even noticed them against the clouds if I hadn’t heard them first 🎶 SO. HIGH. UP 🤩

A few minutes ago, Louie was asleep at the far end of the couch. Then all of a sudden he’s squishing in beside me. He’s the biggest cuddle bug 😂🥰💕

😂 It was very windy today, and it swept up the leaves along the fence of some tall townhouses into interesting long rows… which Louie did not seem to like! He stopped, had a long look… then made a wide berth around them 😂
