I’m a fan of reading lists. Especially for 1st year students as they start to navigate independent learning. They should help students eg have notes added like ‘read x & compare with y’ or ‘read x chapter before y to give background to that lecture.’ It also means we buy what’s recommended.

Only yesterday, the Israeli military called for the evacuation of the entire area south of the Litani River, approximately 8% of Lebanon’s territory and home to hundreds of thousands of people. Today, they issued displacement orders for all residents of the southern suburbs of Beirut.

We take this journal at work. I've included results from this in literature searches that are supposed to be used to inform evidence based care of real paediatric patients in our hospital. This is horrific.

Mapped the evacuation orders issued by the Israeli army in south Lebanon over the past two days. The March 03 order marks a significant expansion beyond the immediate border towns and well beyond the Litani River. I counted 105 villages so far.
