When I was at Waterloo, we managed to get the Warriors Band to road games at Laurier, or Guelph or London (a short drive away) and I can remember what a huge pain that was. Today, the UW Warriors Band is heading to SWEDEN. Yes, that Sweden, the one in Europe. It's a story they'll tell for years.

Perfect. Guys and Dolls at Stratford is just a perfect show. I cannot imagine how the singing, the dancing, the choreography, the actors, the musicians, the sets or the theatre could be any better. Come see it. What a gem we have here in Ontario. No need to go anywhere else.

Excellent note in the program of Something Rotten: Book and Music by Karey Kirkpatrick .... Karey has won a number of Tony, Oscar and Grammy Awards, and that number is zero.

So ... interesting new book just released. "Steve Jobs in Exile." And the author Geoffrey Cain was remarkably thorough in digging up Steve Jobs at NeXT stories.

Something Rotten was terrific, and it's even more amazing that most of the cast and orchestra are immediately flipping over and doing Guys and Dolls tomorrow. We are incredibly lucky to have the Stratford Festival in our neck of the woods.

Always had a soft spot for the Jurassic Park movies. The first was released the day my son was born. We took him to see it at age 10 days (at the drive-in!). Went last night to see the latest one, "Jurassic: Whatever" on the Island of Misfit Dinosaurs; there's a vaguely bad guy, some chases… meh.
