This is Minneapolis: I’m at a major healthcare clinic (just here for a friend) and overheard the front desk staff mention they’ve had 97 missed appointments today. People aren’t getting medical care bc they’re afraid to leave home.

I do not want ICE “reined in.” I do not want “less appropriations” for ICE. I want ICE disbanded, prosecuted, and its equipment melted down for scrap. I want the idea of ICE erased from government policy and inked into the history books of “things we knew we shouldn’t have done but did anyway.”

As usual, the demand is for Democrats to do what they're already doing. Social security and food stamp fraud are vanishingly rare. Minnesota is stepping up enforcement. None of these safeguards have stopped Republicans from lying about fraud. Why would even more make a difference?

I’m seeing posts from people (outside of MN) about how US citizens should carry their passports. And let me say that *inside* MN, we are calmly responding to requests with: “No, I don’t have to show you any documentation.” Because that’s how you protect everyone, regardless of immigration status.

Everything you can do to slow down ICE's ethnic cleansing pogrom will save lives. If you make it so it takes 12 goons to do a 6-goon job, you're saving lives. Every minute they spend in location 1 is a minute they can't spend in location 2. Every squad they deploy to your city saves another city.

One thing I’d like to see is my senators and governor every day on tv at 5pm holding a press conference with video of every documented abuse that ICE is doing. Curate all of the witnessing we’re doing and show it to the press.
