Iāve reached the age where Iām always ready for bed at 10pm and I donāt need to set my alarm to wake at between 5-5.30 to take the dog for a walk or whatever. I donāt know if this is good or bad.

I think what is happening is that we have created a society that structurally favours older people and social media and working life is dominated by younger people almost definitionally. Inter generational changes are not well comprehended by aggregate stats.

Think that just as with computing, AI will change the economy, will change what is on school curriculums, will change what and how teachers do administrative tasksā¦but in terms of best practice in classroom teaching, not that much.

The biggest story in the world right now is that the president of the United States is a demented old man who takes pleasure in torturing and killing people and is committing crimes with impunity. And yet most legacy media outlets are too cowardly to tell it like it is.

Dartmoor has been deliberately set ablaze tonight. An apocalyptic photo of swaling (moorland burning) that Iāve been sent, of the moor alight at Corndon Down, Spitchwick Common. All burning is meant to end on Dartmoor today, 31st March - and many birds will already be nesting this early spring. š¢

Thank God Starmer is in charge, really. If it had been any of his immediate predecessors, we'd currently be at war with Iran, playing lapdog to a deranged US administration, unable to say what we were doing or why.

There's more. On 31 March 2010, Lord Mandelson's principal private secretary sent him a note of a meeting between the Chancellor of the Exchequer and Larry Summers, US Treasury Secretary. Lord Mandelson forwarded it to Jeffrey Epstein five minutes later.

For political hacks like myself, 'put it in the curriculum' is the oldest and hattiest of old hat policy ideas. Why do we think schools should solve all our problems? What if we thought differently about life skills and civic education?
