Taking a cue from Chicago, community groups have distributed thousands of whistles in recent weeks â a grassroots system people in other cities have adopted to help neighbors sound the alarm.

People getting mad here about anyone saying it's good that MTG and Trump are fighting. I teach democratization every semester. The first slide says 'elite fracture.' That's always where it starts. It's good when people with bad politics are fighting one another.

made a similar point on the opinions podcast this week in response to the idea that epstein is a dead end. not only are actual voters interested in this but it divides the gop and puts pressure on the president. it would be political malpractice to treat it as a sideshow

two possibilities, both impossible to dismiss: 1) The Trump White House views the Epstein files as such a threat to its survival they must be discussed in a secure room 2) Leavitt has no idea what the situation room is and thinks its just a figure of speech

1. Trump is in the files. 2. Trump spent time with the victims and understood their relationship to Epstein & Co. 3. Epstein and Maxwell couldn't understand why Trump wasn't "barking" about what he knew, and wanted to keep it that way.
