We all know that skating has many of the issues in gymnastics and ballet - the myriad of ways little girls can exploited and traumatized - incredible for Liu to process that what she needed was for her voice to matter in her career, and the rest of it clicked in place. I hope this is a game changer.

Alysa Liu the phenom that you are!! This has got to rate as one of the best comebacks in history. Her own coaches tried to talk her out of returning to competition. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a skater who looks so much like she’s doing what she loves the most on her own terms.
