What I find exceptionally irritating and disingenuous about the "biological" arguments of anti-trans advocates is that it fundamentally ignores the -fact- that there's strong evidence of a biological component to trans-ness itself.

Two years into transition and there are times, however uncommon, where I now find myself thinking "I could be a cute girl. I could see myself becoming cute. Whatever is going on here... I can work with that." It sounds silly, but with my self-esteem, that's a huge deal. Unthinkable two years ago.

I'm getting ready to start full body laser next week, and I'm a bit nervous about the process but so grateful to finally get this going. I'm open to any tips from people who have been through it. Any advice for before, during or after. I had one free session a few years ago and it definitely hurt.

Every so often, I realize that I have a lot of queer friends but none of us are particularly aware of the culture or discourse or stereotypes from within our own communities. We're just queer refugees from terrible states who found each other and made a mesh of support to try to survive.

The "try this color of makeup on virtually!" option is surprisingly helpful for seeing what colors really don't work with my skin tone, but I have now been murdered by dysphoria and am going to crawl into a hole and die for the next few hours until it's time for my doctor's appointment at 8am.
