I'll note that George had Marcia, Lorne had Rosie Shuster, Letterman had Merrill Markoe. Jim Henson had Jane. Seems like a common pattern.

It's nice to imagine how much better both the prequel & sequel trilogies might have turned out if she'd still been involved with the franchise.

She gets more credit now than she did then (essentially none) but I still think her impact on and contributions to Star Wars are underappreciated. That's not to say George wasn't central to this amazing creation, just that filmmaking is a collaboration, and her influence was important.
