When I first got sick w/ #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis in 1991 when I was 24, I was a DV Victim Advocate for King County. Drs held it against me, insisting I was "burnt out", "doing too much", or was a DV victim myself and "hiding it". When they might've helped, they hurt. Little has improved.

TELEHEALTH UPDATE: The House passed the Department of Health and Human Services’ funding bill yesterday, including telehealth extensions. Under the proposal, Medicare telehealth flexibilities would be extended by 2 years, until Dec. 31, 2027. They are not permanent so there is still work to be done.

ICE’s actions tear families apart, intimidate communities, & undermine the conditions that make education, research, healthcare, & public trust possible. We’re calling on scientists to join the general anti-ICE strike in Minnesota on January 23rd.
